I have had the honor of studying under two Master Sharpeners, Bruce Nihart & Bob Kause at American Sharpening Institute in Richfield MN. I am thankful for having the opportunity to have worked with and tested the different grades of steel on the market. I am excited to share the knowledge that I have gained with my customers.
In my process only the highest quality equipment and procedures are used. The equipment is factory authorized and duplicates the same process as the factory and ensures the best quality edges and more importantly it ensures that you will have the best implements attainable. When I am finished working with your equipment it will have been cared for extremely well, medically sanitized and most important sharp!
I look forward to the opportunity to show you my craft and allow my work to speak for itself.

All shears are completely reconditioned. Every shear is then tested with several different test media. High-end Japanese style (Honed) shears have a convex edge. The higher end shears are usually made of a higher quality stainless steel. I sharpen all convex edge shears on a Wolff Industries sharpening system. Scissors are disassembled and each blade sharpened independently and reassembled. Any parts that are damaged or worn will be replaced if available.
All shears are completely reconditioned. Every shear is then tested with several different test media including imitation animal fur.
I sharpen all convex and bevel edge shears. They are disassembled and each blade sharpened independently by hand and reassembled. Any parts that are damaged or worn will be replaced if available. This includes bumpers, finger tangs (as applicable), and pivot parts.
All clipper blades are sharpened by the same process used at the factory. Most blades need to be hollow ground and we accomplish this by sharpening on equipment that hones a precision hollow grind the same as the factory does. All blade parts are kept in order in aluminum trays to keep the parts of each blade together and prevent mixing parts. After the blades are disassembled, they are sharpened until the entire cutting surface is honed to a new cutting edge.
I apply precise angles and polished edges for excellent cutting performance.
All knives and cutlery are sharpened with a professional sharpening system, using quality materials to ensure the metal integrity is not effected. All knives are tested upon completion using multiple media and have to pass the sharpness test of being able to push-cut a very thin piece of paper.
Sharpening Japanese knives is a specialized service that requires skill, expertise, and precision. Japanese knives are known for their exceptional quality, sharpness, and precision, and they require a specific sharpening technique to maintain their integrity.
Chainsaw chains are first inspected for any damage and general maintenance indicators. Chains are sharpened by machine only removing minimal material to prevent burning teeth and prolonging the life of the chain. Rakers are leveled off to prevent over or under bite which can be strenuous to the tool and a much more dangerous tool.
Circular saw blades are inspected for crack, defects and missing carbides. All carbides are sharpened using a precision machine with diamond abrasive. Minimal material is removed in this process and the integrity of the carbide is preserved.
Sewing scissors, fabric shears and industrial shears are sharpened using a precision machine applying correct angles.
Woodworking tools such as chisels, gouges and v-tools need to be sharpened with care and precision with minimal material removed. Angles are applied to the specific tool using jigs that prevent error and create exceptional sharpness.
Pruning shears, garden loppers, shovels etc. are disassembled and sharpened and reassembled and adjusted to give many more years of use.
Straight razor honing begins with inspection for cracks or general maintenance indicators. The honing process is done using the highest quality materials such as belgium coticules and rare Japanese natural whetstones to ensure the edge is honed to a keen smooth sharpeness.
